My only concern is that when sharing this experience with others I have been told that the food is "hit or miss," and sometimes it's better than others. I am willing to take my chances, though.

My wife and I have been here twice, once with our 22 yr old son and once with a friend of ours who loves his beer! He really liked his beer selection. Both visits produced very well prepared food that tasted great. The atmosphere is conducive to good conversation in a very pleasant atmosphere. A great alternative place to go, reasonably priced and a very tasty selection of BBQ and other choices.

The food was delicious. I had a black bean burger, and she had ribs. They were both delicious. The meat just fell off the bone on her ribs, and my burger was full of flavor. Plus, the corn bread...I'm really picky about corn bread because I make my own. This corn bread was as good if not better!

First the good, the menu has a wide variety, it's a cool car themed place in a nice area with plenty of parking. The deviled egg appetizer was fantastic. The BBQ was mixed, the brisket was terrible, very dry. The pulled pork was terrible, very dry and it's hard to screw up pulled pork. The ribs were good and the chicken was good (had dark meat) the standard sauce is possibly the worst BBQ sauce of all time, it has a bad medicine type flavor. That said their other sauce option had a very tasty traditional BBQ flavor and was very good. So make sure to ask for it and avoid the sauce they leave on the table like the plague. Baked beans weren't good but likely due to the original sauce used on them. The green beans were fantastic. The service was really bad, had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and refills because the waitress ignored us, we had to ask the server several times for our appetizer, which was ready and waiting in the kitchen. That said, any place can have a inattentive server and anyone can have a bad day. All that said, I would go here again and I'd get a burger or the meatloaf. If you go here looking for good BBQ you will be very disappointed, but if you go here looking for a neat spot with burgers and wings and beers, then you will like it.

Fantastic experience! I have visited Hot Rods in years past and found that the food was okay, and the service was always great. Recently, I decided to go back for dinner with a friend, and I was blown away!

Great food, beers, and atmosphere. Service is always with a smile and management is hands on. The server know the menu well and make suggestions. Their knowledge of beers is well known as well. The best part is they have Mead a "Viking" drink and it's amazing! Enjoy this place every time I go and will continue to go.

Prices are also good for the quantity of food we were given. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. It's worth a visit!

Great BBQ and beer selection. I've gotten the ribs and pulled pork multiple times and couldn't stop eating until the plate was clean. I tried the BBQ chicken this time to see how it was and was surprised to find it was just as amazing as everything else. After multiple trips I have yet to have a single "just ok" item off the menu from hot rods. The portions are generous, but you won't leave with leftovers because you won't be able to stop eating.
